Privacy policy

Ground Truth is operated by IPPO RE (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, tools, and WhatsApp service, how we use it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, write to us at contact@ippore.com.

What we collect

• Account details. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. If you later sign in with a phone number, we collect that number.
• What you look up. The searches you run and the property identifiers you enter — survey numbers, village and town names, map locations — along with the documents and reports you ask the service to prepare or retrieve for you.
• Messages. If you use our WhatsApp service, we receive and store the messages you send to it so we can respond and keep a record of your requests.
• Usage and device information. Pages visited, actions taken, approximate timing, IP address, and browser type. We measure this in our own systems to understand how the product is used and to keep it reliable.

What we use it for

• Providing the service — running your lookups, preparing and delivering the documents you request, and keeping them available in your account.
• Improving the product and fixing problems.
• Responding to your questions and support requests.
• Preventing abuse and keeping the service secure.
• Meeting legal obligations.

The land-record information shown in the product — parcel boundaries, zoning, registered document indexes, and similar — is compiled from publicly available government records. It is about land, not about our users, and is separate from the personal information described above.

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences like your light/dark theme choice. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or trackers.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers that help us run the product — hosting, database, authentication, and messaging providers — who process it on our instructions.
• Authorities, where the law requires it or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.

Where your data lives

Our servers and databases are hosted in India. Data is encrypted in transit, and access within our team is limited to what is needed to run the service.

Retention

We keep your account information and the documents in your account for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep it longer by law.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@ippore.com and we will respond in accordance with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. The same address reaches our grievance contact.

Children

Ground Truth is intended for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes we will tell you in the product or by email.
